Slime molds are a diverse group of eukaryotic organisms that the kingdom of Protista, meaning they are neither true fungi, plants, nor animals. Over 900 species exist worldwide, typically thriving in cool, damp, shady environments like rotting logs, leaf litter, and mulch.
Bonus, they come in all kinds of bonkers colours and shapes… the more you know!
