Opal is a shop in Margate celebrating handmade, thoughtfully sourced pieces from across the UK.

You'll find a curated mix of homeware, ceramics by local makers, skincare from small businesses, handmade candles, vintage treasures, greeting cards, notebooks, art prints and more.

The shop also features a growing collection of handmade clothing by Megan Sangster, made in Margate using a mix of deadstock fabrics, hand block prints and repurposed embroidered tablecloths. Her jewellery is designed and made in her seaside studio.

Each silver or gold piece is inspired by nature, embracing organic textures and a perfectly imperfect finish.
