The Hagstone stud earrings by Opal Margate are hand made in the heart of Margate.
Made from recycled 925 silver these earrings are inspired by old folk tales about hagstones, or sometimes called witches stones.
If you’ve ever stumbled across a pebble with a hole all the way through, congratulations, you’ve found a hagstone! They were once believed to hold magical properties, thought to ward off evil spirits and enhance intuition. Some believe that looking through the hole in a hagstone can help you see a witch or fairy.
